After the party, the questions don't go to a doctor. They go to a search bar.
Chemsex is a dangerous, emerging trend that hardly anyone talks about. It starts with a high, but it can end in addiction, isolation, losing control over your own body and your boundaries, and health risks people feel too ashamed to ask about.
When we made this campaign, there was little public information, and almost nothing written for the people it affected. Research showed chemsex is shaped by identity, stigma and inequality, so warnings wouldn’t work.
So the campaign lives where the worry shows up: alone, late, typing symptoms into Google. Every poster starts like a party story and ends in a search bar. It doesn’t judge. It opens a door: talk to someone who gets it.
I was responsible for the strategy. We pitched the campaign to Gezond010, and it placed second in our class competition.

"Chemsex is more than an issue. It's shaped by identity, stigma and inequality. Campaigns must be rooted in real lives and intersectionality."Theron, L. (n.d.), Chemsex: Intersectionality and Successful Campaigns
